NYS Reopening Plan
New York State has begun incremental release of pandemic-related restrictions on business and organizations, with the first phase beginning May 15 in some areas of our district...
Posted on May 12, 2020
Beginning with the Finger Lakes, Southern Tier and Mohawk Valley, certain metrics support the reopening of some construction, manufacturing, curbside pickup, agriculture, forestry and fishing beginning May 15.
Statewide, Certain businesses and recreational activities are being allowed to resume like socially distant sports (perhaps golf, tennis) drive-in movie theaters (those still exist?) and gardening/landscaping. Precise guidance isn't available on this yet.
Solid information for churches and schools is still tentative. Governor Cuomo indicated in multiple addresses that reopening 'phases' will consist of 14-day increments dependent on the critical numbers - available for your view in the dashboard below. The phases as outlined in the NY Forward book are:
- Phase One
- Manufacturing
- Wholesale Trade
- Select Retail for Curbside Pickup Only
- Phase Two
- Professional Services
- Finance and Insurance
- Retail
- Administrative Support
- Real Estate
- Rental and Leasing
- Phase Three
- Restaurants and Food Services
- Phase Four
- Arts
- Entertainment and Recreation
- Education
Atlantic District Guidance for returning to operations is available here, and of course we are always available for questions.
